I’m an award-winning, multi-disciplined Visual Designer with 15+ years of experience, specializing in Creative and Art Direction, as well as hands-on UX, UI, and Graphic Design. My expertise includes all facets of UX Design, from user persona definition to pixel-perfection, and Graphic Design for marketing print, B2B, corporate identity, and brand design.
Although I’m open to working with businesses in nearly all industries, my niche clientele includes medical professionals (primarily dermatologists and skincare experts), skincare and beauty brands, fashion and apparel brands, and online retailers. Some of my noteworthy clients include Asos, Lacoste, Paganne Couture, SkinCeuticals, and Milk Makeup.
I started my career in Silicon Valley as a web developer and UI designer for Big Tech corporations such as Philips Electronics, Sony, HP, and Sun Micro before transitioning fully into web and graphic design. Some years later, I founded the creative agency, Corvus Design Studio, where I served as Creative Director and Sr. UX Designer for many years. At Corvus, our teams employed Design Thinking methods for rapid iteration in producing effective online experiences, collateral, and brand designs. Corvus is a fast-paced agency that allowed me to perfect my hands-on skills in UX and graphic design by working with a diverse range of clients and project scales.
One of my biggest strengths is the ability to adapt to a wide range of projects and clients. I pride myself in being able to step into the shoes of any client to come up with ideas and designs to best suit each individual challenge. The variety and unique challenges that come with diverse clients are the parts of my profession that I love the most.
I have a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from San Jose State University, which fueled my initial work as a developer. More recently, I’ve gained certifications from MIT in Human-Computer Interaction for UX Design and from Google in UX Design. I’ve also co-taught User Experience Design and Wordpress Best Practices at university level.
